November 30- December 2, 2012 SEC Championship

November 30 - December 2, 2012 SEC Championship

Bama -v- Georgia

Tim, Tanya, Jonathan, Dottee, Mollee and Spencer

Yes, Jonathan is with us!  YEA!!!  We leave Anniston around 8:30 AM.  We stop at Love's Truck Stop in Georgia to fill with fuel and then on to the DOME!

We got to the Dome with no problems.  Parking was interesting to say the least.  I miss Bama Gameday Operations!  It was very random and the parking assistants were just trying to get everyone parked without trying to group teams together or leave ANY room.

We were able to get parked and set up.  Then it was lunch time.  Continuing the Dome tradition, lunch was at Taco Mac!   A great lunch and then a little more walking  around Olympic Park and finally back to the RV.   Tim is still sick so he takes a nap.

Dinner time:  WE walked backed to town and finally decided on Mc Cormicks for Dinner.  On the way there we noticed an accident has occurred.  A bicyclist had been hit by a car pulling into the Omni Hotel.  The cyclist was up and seemed ok.   Authorities were on the day.
Dinner was excellent and we walked back to the RV.   The lot was one big party.  Mostly the UGA fans being very loud.  There was camper behind us with speakers - big speakers- blaring music.  This lasted until midnight.  The music was so loud that our RV was vibrating.   We called the Dome police about 5 times to complain but nothing was ever done but thankfully it ended at midnight.

We woke up at 830 am and had to get moving.  Guest would be arriving soon.  I took the dogs to potty and then went to meet Nan, Ellen and Brandon at the Yellow Lot.  Just as we returned to the RV, Ivan was calling.   I walked to meet Ivan, Pattie, James and Leah at the yellow lot.

Tim was cooking breakfast on the grill.

As soon as I returned from the yellow lot, I began making chicken sliders.  As soon as breakfast was complete, I began making Timz Dogz.

After seeing the Gamdeday predictions of picking Bama over GA, the crew went walking.  I completed the Timz Dogz process and then the getting ready process.   Then I took the dogs for a walk to Olympic Park.  Lots of comments from the UGA fans.

Spencer was scared on the escalator but he got over it.

Back to the RV, the pups were tired.  We had some snacks before Tim and I left for the game.

The game... WOW!!! It was a nail biter and a slug fest.  Bama Won!  Allie is 60-11.   WOW !  Roll Tide .  Now to the National Championship we go!

We made it back to the RV.  Ivan, Pattie, Nan, Ellen, and Brandon watched the game at the RV.

We celebrate, well, not Brandon, he's a UGA fan.   We talked or texted Anne P and Julie Gray.

No loud music from the UGA camper tonight.  After everyone left it wasn't long until we were all asleep.

Sunday AM:  we slept late.  When we get up and we bean getting ready to go home.  An Atlanta News Station appeared and interviewed Tim.   They shot lots of video including footage of Dottee, Tim and Jonathan as they folded the rug.

We had no trouble packing up and traveling home.  We stopped at KOA in Oxford to Dump.  $15 later we decided to never do that again.   WE arrive home with no problems.

Nephie went back to Ttown.

It was great having Nephie around all weekend.

Great weekend, great Bama football season

Roll Tide going for 15 and on the road to Miami.

After dinner, a trip to Publix for the meat for Saturday's tailgate.  Ryan is going to smoke the meat for Saturday's tailgate.  There are 5 of us in a Honda Accord.  The trunk is full from the previous shopping trip.  We get supplies, including 3 gallons of water, 20lbs of ice, buns, 2 chickens, country style ribs, TP, paper towel's for Nephies, etc.  WE place what we can in the truck and the rest everyone gets to hold in their lap.  The ice went in the floor board under my feet.  James help the paper towels.   We unload at the RV.

Ivan, Pattie, James, and Leah return to Nephies.  The pups and I stay at the RV.

Anne P came by to pick up the meat.  She and Ryan are staying at Nicolette's and are smoking the meat all night.

November 16-18, 2012 Bama -v- Western Carolina

November 16-18, 2012: Bama -v- Western Carolina:

Tim, Tanya, Dottee, Mollee and Spencer

We left around 4 pm.  Traffic was very heavy but no problems getting to Tuscaloosa.   We picked up the RV.  Tim filled with water and I went to pick up Ivan and Pattie from Jonathan's apt.

We met Tim at the RV lot.  We got everything set up and then went to Full Moon for dinner.

Bama basketball was playing in a tourney final and we were able to watch it.  Bama won!  YEA!

After dinner we went to Brunos, aka,  Belle Foods for ices and supplies.

Back to the RV lot.  We visited for a while until Jonathan called and said he was back at his apt.  There was a TERRIBLE wreck at the intersection of the entrance to his apt road and Jack Warner Pkwy so we had needed to take an alternate route to his apt.  I was able to drop off Ivan and Pattie and get back to the RV without much trouble.  The wreck was bad.  A life was lost.

Early to bed because it will be an early Saturday morning.   Tim is leaving at 7 am because he is on "heart call" on Saturday.  He will go back to Anniston for Saturday and return on Sunday to pick me up.

Saturday AM, Tim left early.  I made a breakfast casserole and got the tables set up outside.

Jeremy, Becky and her mother arrive.  Pattie, Ivan and Jonathan arrive.  Nan and Ellen arrive.  Pattie and I make Timz Dogz.  The ballgame begins at 11:21.  That's early!  It is game time and we walk to the game.  it is a beautiful day.   Bama wins!   Allie is 58-11!  YEA!

After the game we grill burgers.  Anne, Ryan, and Taylor join the tailgate.  Anne provides mac and cheese.  The game was over at 2 pm.  Nephie had to got work at 4pm.  Everyone left by 5:30 pm.

Mollee, Spencer and I chill out in the RV.  Dottee went home with Tim.  I'm watching the LSU and Ole Miss game.  LSU eventually wins the game.  I switch between the Baylor and Kansas and Stanford and Oregon.  Nephie text for updates. Kansas is about to lose.   Kansas is #1, Oregon is #2.  Notre Dame is #3 and Bama is #4.  Kansas goes down.  Horns begin to blow in the lot.  Texting begins.  Nephie, Leah, Tim, etc are all texting.   Nephie arrives around 11 pm.  We watch Oregon and Stanford.   Chaos begins to happen.  Oregon loses to Stanford.  # 1 and #2 lose.  Notre Dame will move to #1 and Bama to #2.   Bama is once again in the National Championship picture.  The RV lots goes crazy.  Horns are blazing.  We play the fight song horn at least 10 times. We are so excited.

Leah beings to look for SEC Championship tickets.  She succeeds and gets tickets ordered using our Stub Hub account and her Stub Hub account.

We eventually go to Jonathan's apt for the night.  We attempted to watch Football Final but make it through about 15 minutes.

Sunday AM:  I make breakfast and then we go back to the RV to finish cleaning while we wait for Tim to return.

Jonathan goes for newspapers.  Tim and Dottee return.   We finish cleaning and packing.  Then to fill with fuel, dump and fill with water.  Finally we park the RV.  Then to Jonathan's apt.  We have lunch at Jim and Nick's.  Once again, we had a great Sunday afternoon.

The trip home was no problem.  We get to return on Wednesday for Thanksgiving in Ttown and the Iron Bowl!
