Bama v Georgia Southern November 18-20,2011

Bama - v - Georgia Southern, November 18-20, 2011

Tim, Tanya, Dottee and Mollee left at 3 pm for Ttown.  No problem in our travels.    We picked up the RV.  Tim went the lot and Tanya went to WD for ice.  Finally to Lot 8. We set up the RV, unloaded the car and Tanya went to pick up Nephie and Ivan.  Innis Free was our dinner destination.  Okey State and Iowa State are playing football.  Bama is playing basketball.  The crowd is cheer for Iowa State and for Bama basketball.  After a great dinner, (we will be back to Innis Free) we went to the Alacove.  More basketball.  Then to Publixs and back to the RV. We get the satellite set up in time to see Bama Basketball team win.  Then from across the lot we hear people yelling.  Check the Okey State game because if  they lose we go back to # 2.

Time to watch.  Iowa State is making it a game.  The lot is yelling with every good thing done by Iowa State.  Iowa State and Okey State to overtime.  People all over the lot are yelling!  We are texting everyone we know.  James and Leah are watching in Cedartown.  Iowa State pulls the upset and beats Okey State. Bama should move to #2.  In the championship hunt again.  RV horns were blowing.  People yelling.  Rumor has it that James Duncan "ran naked" in his back yard.

Saturday morning, Tanya takes the dogs for a walk to the Quad. Tim begins setting up the outside stuff.  Tanya returns andcompletes the setup.  Ivan and Jonathan arrive with breakfast.  Nan, Ellen, James and Leah arrive.

Tim began making the Timz Dogz.  Anne Peavey arrives.
Tanya helps Tim with the final production of Timz Dogzs.  The game begins at 1 PM. Nan brought her awesome chicken dip. YUM!
Leah's friends:  Lori and Tim Waits and Matt Bentley.
Bama wins!  It was a fight because Georgia State runs a triple option but Bama wins!  Allie is 53-10.  Leah has GA State friends who tailgate with us.  We fire up the grill after the game.  Jonathan's friends, Kathryn, Alex, Mary Catherine, Clare, Clay and Elizabeth come to hang out. We had a fire in the fire pit. People grilled and then made smores.  We watched Oregon and USC.  Oregon is the last team standing in Bama's way to the national championship game.    People in the lot are yelling again. Oregon was losing.  Anne P stayed and watched the game.  Who knew Ttown would care about an Oregon game.  Oregon lost.  People ran out of their RV and

The stars are aligning.   After Bama's LSU loss on November 5, Bama dropped to # 3 with Okey State, Stanford and Oregon all undefeated and threatening to jump Bama in the polls.

On November 12, Stanford lost to Oregon.  One down, three to go.   On November 18, Okey State lost to Iowa State and finally on November 19, Oregon lost to USC.  People all over T town are yelling.  Horns on RVs are playing Yea Alabama!  People ran out of their RVs and blew their car horns.  It's going to happen.  Bama back to the National Championship Game.  The lot went wild.   It was a wild college football day.  Bama should move to #2.  Arky to #3.  The three best teams in country are in the SEC WEST!  WOW!

After all of this, Anne P spend the night at the RV.  RV days are long days.  We were up until 1 AM both nights watching football and yelling against the teams in Bama's hunt for a national championship.

Sunday morning we slept late.   Nephie brought breakfast adn papers. Nephie's friend's helped clean up outside on Saturday night so the cleanup outside is minimum.  Clean up inside isn't bad either. It's time to take the RV home.  Sadness.  We fill with fuel and dump. Tim drives the RV and Tanya the Caddie. No problems on the way home.
But when Tim pulled into the driveway, one of the back tires has lost so much air that it was almost off the rim.  Need some tire work!
A great season, great memories with friends and family.  RTR.  Need a new journaling book for 2012 season.

Making Timz Dogz

It's finally here!  We leave around 3 PM.  We get to Tuscaloosa with no problem.  The traffic was heavy and slow on 459 but no major problems.  Ivan and Jonathan met us at the RV lot.  Ivan and Tim washed the windshield while Tanya made a trip for ice, and WD for a few supplies.  Tanya picked up Jonathan at his apt and then to the RV lot.

Going to the Pep Rally

We all unpacked the Caddie and Jonathan began his shuttle driving service.  He picked up Pattie, James, Leah, Steve, Amy, Isabelle and Zeke.  All are staying at the Hotel Patel.  Anne P arrive at the RV lot.  We got the RV leveled and got unpacked.  Hotel Patel shuttle arrived and we are off to the pep rally. Tim decides to skip the pep rally. He sets up the satellite while we are all the pep rally.  We take the Crimson Ride to the pep rally and back to the RV.   Some of us go get dinner.  Anne P is spending the weekend at the RV.  The rest of the crew went to the Hotel Patel to eat dinner and get settled in for the night.

Saturday morning breakfast was delivered by the Brothers Duncan.  They also dropped off supplies.  We get the outside set up and Tanya takes the dogs for walk. Tim rides his bike and Tanya and Tim stop and talk to Dr. Breezy  and meet her mother in law. Tanya  and the dogs walk to the Quad and back.  The Quad is crowded. Lots of people in TTown enjoying the atmosphere of college football. Back at the RV, Nan and Ellen have arrived.  The Hotel Patel guest arrive.  Marc, Kathy, and Eli also arrive.   This is E's first trip to the RV. Nan and Ellen's friends arrive.

Tanya began making hot dogzs. Tim practiced flying his kite.  It is a beautiful day.  We grilled sausages, steak, shrimp, corn, etc.  It was a great day.  Julie and friend, came by for a visit.  Finally it's game time.  Tim and Tanya rode bikes to the game.  The game was a defensive struggle and a great game.  It went into overtime and Bama lost.  No west title for Bama.  Allie is 52-10.

Tanya and Tim were riding the bikes back to the RV when a Jeep came up behind Tim, blew the horn, passed Tim and then passed Tanya so close that Tany could have touched the car.  The mood at the RV was low.  Sad that there will not be a trip to Atlanta.  Everyone helped put away the chairs, tents and Big AL before leaving.

Sunday morning the time changed back to standard time.  It gave us an extra hour of needed sleep.  James and Leah picked up their stuff.  then Steve, then Ivan and Pattie brought back the Caddie.  Anne P decided to meet Taylor for breakfast and Tim and Tanya rode bikes to Jacks for breakfast.  Then the cleaning process began.  Cleaning up and packing up after a loss is no fun.  Jonathan came by to pick up stuff he left at the RV.  Then we were off to fill with fuel, then to the dump site.  The trip home was flawless.  Back in 2 weeks.
Tailgating, so much fun.

Tim, Tanya, Dottee, and Mollee - Bama - v - UT
We are leaving on Thursday so that we can go to Hey Coach.  Tricia from UA AMSTI has arranged through her husband, Jon, to ask a question to Coach Saban. Nephie and Julie got to Buffalo Wild Wings at 5 to get us a table.  WE stopped by the RV to drop off the firepit, clothes, and the grill.  We also picked up the tailgating books so Coach Saban can sign it.  Then to Nephies apt to drop off Dottee and Mollee.  Finally to BWW.  We get there at 6.  We ordered our dinner and it was time for the show.   Coach Saban arrived and it was time for questions.  Tyler, Tim's new friend, came to our table and got Tim when it was his turn to ask a question. He ask about Bama's success on 3rd downs this year. (offensive 3rd downs) Coach was GREAT! Tim won a book.  Tricia came to our table to let Tim sit up front so he could get our book signed.  Tim waited for coach to walk out and he was able to get our tailgating book signed.  WOW!

After BWW, we had a mission to accomplish.  A puppy is coming from Foley adn will be given to the Boss.  We make the exchange at Winn Dixie in Northport.  Nephie, Julie and Tanya,  are in the store in the checkout line and in walks Tim and puppy.    We go to the Alcove and take the puppy.   Finally back at nephies, we chill out and get all settled in and introduced puppy to a crate.

Saturday morning was a laid back morning.  Ivan brought us breakfast.  Tanya took the dogs, all 3 of them, for a walk while Tim began the hotdog making process. Everyone arrive around 11:00.  Ivan, Jonathan, Julie, James, Leah, Amy, Nan, Ellen, Megan, Nicolette and her friend Kelly.  Anne P was stuck in traffic, but  finally arrived.  We watched football, ate Timz Dogz, grilled and ate again waiting for game time.  Tim and Tanya took a bike ride around town and visited with John and Brenda and Brian and Leigh.  Janis, Randy and Hunter dropped by on their way to see Brianna.  Tim and James flew the new Bama kite.  Finally it is game time. Kick off was at 6:15.  Bama was off to a slow start but got it together in 2nd half and won 37-6.  Tim carried cigars into the game and at the end of the game, Tim, Jonathan. Ivan, and others all lit cigars in honor of the tradition began by Coach Bryant.  Allie is 52-9. On the bike ride back from the game, Tim and Tanya are close to the RV lot, riding in the left lane when a SUV began to turn into Tanya's lane.  People screamed, the policeman yelled, BIKE.  Tanya was able to pedal to softy.  After the game everyone returned to the RV and we watched More football and ate yet again.  Everyone helped  put away chairs, Big AL, and the tents before leaving.  That helps with the clean up process. Once  again, we were awake until 1 AM.

Sunday morning we slept until about 8.  James and Leah came and picked up their stuff and morning began.  Nephie brought us breakfast and papers.  Tim cleaned up outside and Tanya cleaned inside. It is a 2 hour process to clean, and pack.  Add in another 2 hours to store ever thing, fill with fuel, dump the tanks, and store the RV.  Setting up is more fun than storing.  The trip home was uneventful.  Two more weeks and we will be back for the game of a lifetime.  Bama - v LSU, #2 - v #1.  How lucky are we?
